With a career spanning over two decades, Melaine’s journey began at the Aga Khan University’s Institute for Educational Development. Over the years, she has cultivated deep expertise in strategic planning, research support, and leadership. Since stepping into her current role as Director in June 2023, she has focused her efforts on strengthening research governance at Aga Khan University, most notably through the development of a comprehensive five-year research strategy.
This award reflects her dedication to advancing research excellence and building a strong foundation for innovation. Melaine’s vision and leadership are already leaving a significant mark — not only within the University but also in the broader communities that Aga Khan University serves.
