{"id":629,"date":"2026-10-24T09:51:43","date_gmt":"2026-10-24T09:51:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tadeeb.org\/eng\/?p=629"},"modified":"2026-10-24T09:51:43","modified_gmt":"2026-10-24T09:51:43","slug":"jesus-overcame-you-can-overcome-by-dr-ernest-fink-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tadeeb.org\/eng\/index.php\/2026\/10\/24\/jesus-overcame-you-can-overcome-by-dr-ernest-fink-13\/","title":{"rendered":"Jesus Overcame \u2013 You Can Overcome!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Written by: Dr. Ernest Fink (Senior Pastor | Director) City Harvest Family Church, USA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2 Corinthians 11:23-24 (NKJV)<br><\/strong><em>\u201cAre they ministers of Christ? &#8211;I speak as a fool&#8211;I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. <sup>24<\/sup> &nbsp;From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Some Believers think that if a person walks in faith, that somehow that means he will escape all adversities in life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you read the New Testament, you find that the early believers and the apostles faced many adversities. Certainly, God didn\u2019t plan those hardships. The devil was the one who shrewdly planned those attacks to stop the preaching of the Gospel. Satan is still working nonstop to prevent people from stepping into the plan God has designed for their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When believers survive all sorts of ordeals and attacks, that is proof that they <em>do<\/em> possess the God-kind of faith.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don\u2019t get the impression that walking in faith removes you from all challenges. Faith just gives you the ability to <em>overcome<\/em> the challenges that will attempt to assault you. Even Jesus said, <em>\u201c\u2026In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world\u201d<\/em> (<strong>John 16:33<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The word \u201ctribulation\u201d is Greek for a situation so difficult that it makes one <em>feel stressed, squeezed, pressured, or crushed<\/em>. It can be translated as <em>distress, affliction,<\/em> or <em>trouble,<\/em> always indicating a level of intensity that is almost unbearable in the natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus tells us to be of <em>\u201cgood cheer\u201d.<\/em> &nbsp;These two words are from a single Greek word which literally means <em>to be courageous<\/em>. It is consistently translated as \u201cFear not,\u201d but a better rendering would be <em>\u201cTake heart!\u201d<\/em> It is a word that would be spoken to strengthen someone who is facing some kind of hardship or difficult ordeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jesus was literally saying, <em>\u201cIn this world you will go through some distressing times but take heart and be courageous\u2026.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then Jesus tells us, <em>\u201cI have overcome the world.\u201d<\/em> The word \u201covercome\u201d is a Greek word that is also the word for <em>victory<\/em>, but the grammar used in this statement does not imply a single victory in the past, but <em>a continuous and abiding victory<\/em>. The idea this Greek word presents is this: <em>\u201cI have overcome the world; I am still overcoming the world; and I will always be in an overcoming position over the world!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul was so committed to fulfilling his God-given call that he wouldn\u2019t let anything stop him! After being repeatedly beaten, he\u2019d get up and go right back to what he was doing before he was beaten. He had ALREADY made up his mind. <em>He would not stop until his mission was complete!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What are you facing today? I\u2019m sure it isn\u2019t a beating of thirty-nine lashes, yet it may still seem overpowering and overwhelming. How are you going to respond to these things? If you\u2019ve been knocked down, are you going to stay there, or are you going to get up, brush off the dirt, grab hold of the Word of God, and start moving forward again?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Never forget that Jesus said, <em>\u201cIn this world you will go through some distressing times.
