Your past need not be your future. God has a bright future in store for you if you will accept it and believe it. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)\u00a0 \u201c\u2018For I know the plans I have for you,\u2019 declares the LORD, \u2018plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Take His plans and make them your plans. You can\u2019t do that if you are always looking to your past instead of to His future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n His plans for you are in His promises, and those precious promises can come alive only by seeking Him about them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus is the way, the road to blessing and salvation. He can give you directions in the map of His Word on how to get there. Seek Him and hear from Him, this is the way of faith, and faith is the way of the victor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a01 John 5:4-5 (NKJV) \u201cFor whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a0\u2022 Don\u2019t let the past remind you of what you are not now.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One cannot be both a victim and a victor at the same time. Choose to be one or the other. Religion, most of the time, tries to be both and ends up being neither. Guilt and low spiritual self-esteem will keep you in the prison-house of victim-hood. It will keep you in the past of yourself instead of the future of Him. Being \u2018In Him\u2019 is being in His life and in His future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Your past is not His future for you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It is not easy to put on the \u2018new man\u2019 in Christ (the \u2018new you\u2019 In Him), but we must. The \u2018new man\u2019 is the \u2018new you\u2019 made for a \u2018new future.\u2019 You are valuable in His eyes, so treat yourself as valuable in your own eyes. This is not always easy. Sometimes you are going to have to choose to forget the past and ignore all that is around you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Walking by faith is not walking by sight, or walking by feelings, and it sure is not walking in the past.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Treating yourself as valuable is not pride but true humility before God. To do anything less is disobedience to the God Who has great plans for you and has promised great things for you. Walk with Him in the light of His love and mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a01 John 1:7 (NKJV) \u201cBut if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Remember, you have no past and He has your future.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Wouldn\u2019t it be nice if life was really like this? Well, it can be if you walk in the light as He is in the light and allow His blood to cleanse you from all sin, and from all the left-over stuff of the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n God has created a great separator between the past and the future. It is called today. Every day can be a new day of opportunity in the plan and future God has for you. Our effort is to live in our \u2018today\u2019 and trust Him for a great tomorrow!
